5. Ziploc bags are not child proof or shake resistant and if you are clever enough you can send a bag full of cheerios all over a van and be proud of your efforts. "Whoa mom did you see that?"
4. Kids repeat everything. Apparently Casey did something to hurt himself and so Caleb told me that his dad said "son of a sandwich". Get your head out of the gutter, the real translation is "son of a biscuit eater".
3. Kids tell stories. Caleb had a new ouchie on his forehead and I asked him "what happened?" and his response was "Daddy told me not to tell you because it is a secret". Okay...I called Casey at work furious, "Casey what happened?" "That kid is telling you a story. I have no idea what he is talking about."
2. Pudding is a good substitute for body paint but requires meticulous parent supervision or the youngest one will be covered in every place you can think of including inside the ears. However, she managed to get quite a bit in his hair.
1. Do not bite glow sticks. Do not give to children who may potentially bite them. We had to pull over after a Halloween Party the other night and dispose of one while Caleb screamed with a mouthful of glowing goo. According to Caleb, the substance is hot. Casey and I almost wet our pants when we turned around in our dark vehicle to see a wide open mouth all aglow.

We've done #s 2 & 5. #1 was just hilarious -- as long as it didn't make Caleb sick, of course. Thanks for the laughs!
